Day SEVEN of ban

Today Alan and my Sister and me made Applebutter.

This is NOT the first time I made Applebutter, but it IS the first time with This receipe. I DO NOT have a "chinois sieve" which sounds FOREIN and I like to keep my Applebutter traditional.

  1. Wow, that is great. I don't think you have ever told us your sister's name. Is it "Tequila"?

"Anonymous" has been in a real funk all weekend, wanting you to post something for him. I think he is still practicing reading, so small syllables might be best.

I have a great recipe for blueberry wine. I will share it with you sometime. I like to keep it traditional too.

  2. "me made applebutter"

How neanderthal of you ... did you grunt while making the butter? Or was that your boyfriend with your sister?

Me think you stupid, me think you illiterate, me think this whole blog waste of me time ....

  3. OMG - you think a "chinois" is some foreign (please note the spelling) piece of equipemtn that would ruin your traditional apple butter?! you are thicker than I ever thought - it is stainless steel strainer with 1 mm fine single mesh that prevents seeds, pulp and skins from slipping through.

Perhaps you should not use a saute pan either (french), or a cuisinart, or any other wonderfully foreign kitchen implements.

And blueberry wine is traditional where? I am from Maine and wouldn't drink that swill ... give me a bottle of Ridge zin any day.

  5. Yes. Isn't it great when you misspell a word while caustically making fun of somebody else's spelling?

God help me, I do love it so.

  8. I recall a Barshevsky was a famous woman in the Clinton administration. Might Ellen be her daughter?

  9. Why would the ABA ban you? Now the comments on that site are boring and not worth reading.

Prob baned by your typical liberal eltists by a ivy league snob at the ABA.

  10. The articles on the ABA pages are boring and have no substantive value. Many of them consist of gossip on the doings of overly large law firms that no one really cares about, except some of the people that work there. So it was appropriate that you would comment on them in the fashion you used. At least it made it entertaining.

  11. @Anonymous, 9:04 AM--Ellen Barshevsky held a looking glass up to the most arrogant and self-absorbed members of the legal community. Unfortunately, when said attorneys didn't like what they saw, they blamed Ellen.

  12. help! the ABA is killing Ellen....

no more posts since Sunday? The ABA looks to be winning the war. The first battle was won when it booted "her" off of their site. Second battle was that Ellen is reduced to talking about apple butter. Third battle is that Ellen has be quiet since Sunday.

    What to do?

  13. Perhaps her Managing Partner has treacherously played her false, and sent her packing just before the holidays (after saying he would not). Or, perhaps she is just traveling somewhere for the holidays and has taken the week off.

  14. Applebutter is a GREAT salve for all wounds, including being BANNED by the aba.

  15. History can be viewed as a struggle between the "salves" and the "salve-nots".
