My manageing partner and OTHER male coworkers are in a fits about a woman appointed to the High Court. I don't do politics, but I think this is a start for women in the law even if SHE is from a foriegn land.

I have also received a new office with a WINDOW sense one male attorney was fired for spending long lunches wiht a secretary. Summer associates do NOT last long around here. Maybe if we started hiring MALE secretaries there would be more work and less play. And us woman attorneys would not complain.

There is a REASON I have not blawgged in a while. I can adress it later MAYBE.

Peeps Contest LOSS

I did NOT win but will try AGAIN next year. The "winner" had pink peeps with BREASTS if you did not notice. And I am NOT sure what the yellow MAN PEEP is holding between his legs, but it looks like he is THOUROHLY enjoying the marshmellow "peeps." This is more proof that this is a man's world.

More man's names firms

My BOYFIREND and me are working on a PROJECT. I have NOT had time to blawg lately.

I have also noticed MORE firms going down with mans' names. Clearly theres a pattern here:

Paul Hastings, Reed Smith, Allen Matkins, Wolf Block, Edward Angell & Palmer Dodge, Clifford Chance, TroutMAN Sanders, and Weil Gotshal. I think Weil is 'Wes' in yiddish.

And the there is Manatt... Never heard of a Womanatt. Maybe that's because it is NOT firing.

Other blawggers will probably steal my original writing. As far as I can tell I am the ONLY Blawgger reportng this right now.

Mans Names Firms

I am not the ONLY one who sees that law firms partners are "mainly dudes." Abovethelaw is now saying this: http://abovethelaw.com/2009/03/news_about_new_law_firm_partne.php

It also says the top women-freindly firms are Dickson Shapiro, Wiley Rain, Andrews Kurth, and Bryan Cave. Maybe you did NOT notice but they all have MENS NAMES! Even when we when we lose.

My manageing partner said all these are firing BIG time and its good we are NOT there: Morgan Lewis, Mayer Brown, Simpson Thatcher, Akin Gump, and the supposed Fried Franks. These all sound like a man's name also. And then there's Orrick, but I thought that was a vacuum company.

I told Alan maybe they need to start naming Firms with woman's names like Lisa Gump or Fran Franks. Alan said they did this for Sallie Mae, but that's not a firm.

Back from BAN #2

I am NOT deseased or on vacation. I was BANNED by Blogger a google subsidary. It is TRUE and I may have a First Amendment actionable cause against them! I know my Blawgs are not "main stream" and maybe abajounral was a instrumental player. After intence negotiations they have let me continue Blawgging. I do NOT know why this happened.

My manageing partner says it may have helpwd with my productivity, and I may not have permission to Blawg from my firm any longer. He says its RES JUDICATA but I do not think so. If this site wil let me, I will Blawg at Lunch when the others are downing scotch at the nearby "club." They have no productivity when they roll in around 1:30, so this may be gender discrimination issue also. My manageing partner says I need to show discriminary INTENT.

We alreayd had TEN layoffs and the pinkslips are poping up every where. My work load has INCREASED too even though they've cut back on the free coffee -- talk about slowing productivity.

ABA Top Blawggers Winners

I have NEVER heard of Edward A. Adams, but aparently he is Director of elections at abajournal.

They just announced the "winners" for the Top 100 Blawgs, and it looks like a RACKET.

MR. Edward A. Adams "instituted a series of checks behind the scenes to make sure only legitimate votes were counted." The NEW totals only have "only votes that were legit."

I guess votes for MY blawgging we NOT "legit."

Here's he's explaination: "You’ll just have to take it on faith that we're capable of determining what a legit vote looks like, and what a bogus one looks like."

Well he also says abajournal disqualifed some votes from over seas computers. So any of my International readers just DO NOT count. This might be Viewpoint discrimination or Nationality discrimination, but I do NOT know.

I wanted you to know that as the Ball dropped last night, Alan gave me a necklace. It was a Saphire necklace, and it is BEAUTIFUL.

We made Resolutions that we WILL keep. We plan to not let work rule OUR lifes, and I know that I will NOT let my manageing partner boss me around. Also I will get my hair done more frequently.

Seasons Greatings

I am liveblawgging from a Kinkos off the interstate right now. We are ONLY down from the mountains for a short bit, so I will not blawg much. Do NOT worry I am still with the living.

Alan suprised me by taking us to a cabin in the mountains for the holiddays. It is NICE to get a way form it all. The firm and the blawgging was getting to me.

We had family up for Christmas day. My Sister, Alan's Sister, and also some friends and their kids. It was a FULL HOUSE.

Alan made his special egg nogg, one spiked and one for the NON drinkers. I do not DRINK often, but for holidays we make acceptions.

NOW we are spending the New Years alone. We do not have a tree, but we have missletoe and a fireplace. It is ROMANTIC. I reccommend a cabin retreat if you have not done it before.

We are looking for champaign for the Midnight ball drop and I must go now. Happy holiday's!

Blawgging is HARD

I do not know IF I can continue to Blawg. Its more difficult then non-Blawggers realize, I think.

Its one thing to FILE deposition after deposition, being bossed a round by a Manageing partner all day and then go home. Its another thing to manage a profesional Blawg on TOP of it all.

Dirty Jokes in 9th Circut

So a Governor can not find a WOMAN to be a judge, but THIS nut is hearing Cases.

"Already under fire for his involvement in a personal web page containing sexually explicit material that formerly was available to those who knew how to search for it on the Internet, the chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is now facing renewed criticism over the off-color jokes he regularly e-mailed for years from his personal computer, at home, prior to the uproar over the web page. The Easy Rider Gag List circulated by Judge Alex Kozinski until approximately early June contained some jokes that "used language that defies quotation in a general circulation newspaper," according to the Los Angeles Times. The examples include jokes that jokes that focused both on ethnicity and, apparently, sexual behavior. The 9th Circut seems like a GOOD place to work, there is not much work aparentely. This includes California and Hawaii so the weather is good also.

I visted Fresno years ago. No beaches, just dry and dusty. This is NOT a good place to live.

No WOMAN on NY Court

I since some SEXIST comments from the Governor and AG in the NYC.

Aba journal is Blawgging this: Of the seven judges on a New York chief judge short list passed to the governor by the State Commission on Judicial Nomination, not one is a woman. And that has Gov. David A. Paterson and Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo a little peeved. "All we’re saying is it seems highly unusual that in a class of seven individuals considered to be capable of supervising the Court of Appeals, that not one of them would be a woman—not one," Paterson is quoted as saying. What does THAT mean? Are WE so different then a MAN lawyer that will judge differently on the SAME cases?

Maybe they just are up set that they won't have a WOMAN to stare at all day. Its not like those robes are revealing any how.

Also, aba journal is blawgging sexist comments: "One potential loophole is that the commission is required by law not only to give the governor names, but file a report that evaluates judicial temperament."

Does THIS mean that aba journal thinks WE WOMEN are too tempermental to make the CUT?

I know many MOODY male judges and attornies, so someone needs to RETHINK that blawg.

Day FIFTEEN of ban and Top 100 BLAWGGERS

My Blawg did not get recognised by aba journal today. But I am NOT taking it personnally.

That blawgger "Molly" blawgged this: "This year, blogs that aren’t updated at least weekly—no matter how interesting—often didn’t make the grade."

Well I up date MY Blawg almost EVERY DAY.

I saw WHY my Blawg did not make the CUT. "Molly" blawgged this: "We also gave props to bloggers who made the most of audio and video (in our new podcast category) or social networking applications."

I think SHE wants to see MY picture and here MY voice. This is a law Blawg, not a pick up joint.

Alan takes care of me and I do NOT spread my face around the block like the Tramps on Abovethelaw.

Day FOURTEEN of ban and Thanksgiving

I am writting a SPECIAL Blawg for all of YOU to night. I knowyou WANT to here about my Thanksgiving and it was joyus. Alan and I made diner at OUR house, just like LAST year and we cooked a fine meal. My sister was in attendence as was Alan's sister -- she is my sister IN law, you know -- which is a silly saying because she does NOT work in law.

She brought desert, a pumpkins pie and some other mess, niether very good. I told Her that she SHOULD improve her kitchen skills if she plans on finding a man.

US attorney's need to improve OUR skills too because aba journal says that Indians named Ankita Mullick are taking OUR jobs. I think aba journal Blawg might be confused because it also says Firms have too many associate's with too little work to do.

So I do NOT think Firms are hiring Indians to just sit around and play Solitary all day. I know that I ALWAYS have work to do, and when I drafted a Memoranum of Understadings my Manageing partner says I draft it well.

I do not think Indian courts can have JURISDICTION over any situs in the U.S. anyways, because it is NOT federal land, but a SOVERIGN.

I need to finish cleaning our kitchen now which looks like a tornado swept through it. But if you get your Boyfreind or Husband to help with cleaning, it CAN go faster. When we share responsabilities, Alan and I are at our BEST.

I am THANKFULL for Alan, for ALL my subscribors and also for my job NOT giong to Indians this thanksgiving.

Day NINE of ban

I was SICK yesterday and did NOT write on my Blawg. I do NOT think it was the Applebutter, but Alan said it might be. I did not go to my Firm or today either and did NOT read any Blawgs. Probably some subscribors were upset, but I can not be your only source of Law news.

An NO, Mr. MCLEOD my manageing Partner did not "send me packing."

Day SIX of ban

Some Blawgger's are blawgging about which school is BEST in the WORLD, which is not possible to measure. I responded to Mr.PAUL L. CARON, but he did NOT let me Blawg on his Blawg so I think "Molly" told him to ban me.

I do NOT believe this "ranking" is acurate but mostly a plan by Professors in THESE schools to improve there prestege and paychecks.

Some schools I have NEVER heard about and I plan to ask my Partner on Monday. MAYBE you did not notice, but I did, that #19 and #25 are just the SAME FIVE LETTERS mixed up differently. I think MOST lawyers are smart enought to figure that out.

I did not attend ANY of these schools but am getting more work at my Firm after only three years, so this list does not guarantee sucess.

"Fried Frank" Propoganda

I have not been to ALL firms BUT I know that this propoganda is TRUE. NO serious firm is called "Fried Frank" lets be SERIOUS. Anything fried is usually bad and would not attrack high-dollar clients. I know that DEPRESSION is a BIG problem for these people working in legal Blawgs. Still they should NOT make false representations which could be LIBELLOUS and actionable when published which only needs to be to ONE person.

My manageing partner says I do NOT have to be worried about loosing my job which would be bad right before the Holiday's. So I doubt ANYONE who is in GOOD STANDING with their bar like me will loose their job.

I try and stay happy no matter if we have problems at home or work.

"Skaddan" Propoganda

NO other Blawg is reporting the TRUTH right now. About attornies loosing their jobs. I want to spread THE news, so please let people know the truth. I wrote this on OTHER Blawgs also.

I did SOME research an this is propoganda. If it WERE true, this would be a BREECH of contract and actionable in the District court that is the situs of the firm. The firms would be GUILTY of UNJUST ENRICHMENT which would be MILLIONS of dollars that they would have to pay the attornys which would put them OUT of business, so this is unlikely.

My manageing partner also explained once that WHO EVER is spreading these lies could be guilty of FALSE PRETENCES.

Plus I do NOT think any one would call a law firm "Skaddan" so it is probably falsified.

Day FOUR of ban

MOSTLY it is the rude comments on OTHER Blawgs that I want to talk about, because the comments from MY supporters are mostly friendly. But on aba journal there were RUDE comments that I did not respond to because "Molly" stopped me.

Some men called me a "troll" even thow they NEVER saw what I look like. This is RUDE on a profesional legal website to call women these names and I assure you I AM attractive. I just do not need to dress provokatively like SOME Blawggers. And another Blawgger called me a "pony" which is RUDE and FALSE. And even if I WAS, I do NOT like carrots so it would not make sence. Alan does like them but only in a stew which I ONLY make during the winter.

I am ALSO bothered by the insenuation that WOMEN are not hard workers because ONE woman looses ONE tool belt while repiaring a SATELIGHT of all things. She DID make it into space after all. I do not know how a person acheives this but the test MUST be a least as hard as the lsat, and probabley harder.

If SHE starts a blawg I will let YOU know.

Also, please be AWARE that there is propoganda being REPEATED on the internet Blawgs about firms FIRING attornies but I do NOT think it is true because the names of these "firms" are not real. NO ONE has answered my question if "Squire Sandars" is ACTUALY real because it sounds like a fake name. This MIGHT have something to do with Indians taking over firm jobs, but that might be propoganda also.

If you did not notice, my blawg is getting FAMOUS. I thank all of YOU for supporting me. I do NOT even know how many comments I have received and I thank ALL of you for supporting this. I will NOT lie, this has been difficult. But your comments keep me insured that I AM doing the right thing by starting my OWN blawg and compeeting with aba journal.

I also take back ALL my comments I made about "Molly" because I think SHE is a WOMAN working in a industry where MEN make rude comments all the time. You should read the rude comments from the men at Abovethelaw, another blawg like mine. It gets many comments to also. I would NEVER show my self like that even though my boyfriend, Alan, says I am good looking enough to be on the websites.

Day TWO of ban

I am going to make a NEW blawg now. I hope that "Molly" doesn't try to stop me AGAIN. I did my research, and aba journal does NOT have jurisdiction over this website, so HOPEFULLY I will NOT be banned. I am not experticed in First Amendment law though. Or United Nations law for that matter.

MOSTLY it was just infuriating that a WOMAN with my background can not speak HER mind without being ridiculled or treated different for the way we look or dress or blawg then MEN who wear the SAME suit and TIE even in Court. The other blawggers, mostly MEN, didn't have anything interesting to say.

However, I must say that I APPRECIATE the fact that "Molly" has put this Blawg on the aba website, as you MIGHT have noticed. I am already getting subscribors but I do NOT want MY blawg to be as big as huffington's post or Anne Colter, both WOMEN I might add. But these WOMEN are showing too much cleavage and do not think they can get a head without letting MEN stare at them. And "Molly" is probably the same but she MIGHT be a nice young girl. I found a picture of her and I will post it when I find out how.

I will type more later, right now I am making raviolli for Alan for dinner. And then I am revising more of my motion in limene.

I was BANNED today

I was banned to TODAY by the aba journal. They DO NOT like my blawgs and they know I am NOT a First Amendment lawyer so they think they can silence my writing. But my BOYFRIEND, and yes he is my boyfriend, says that I should do MORE blawgs on my own, so that is exactly what I am doing here.
